Description

Achillea Paprika produces huge, plate-like flowerheads, each created by masses of tiny blooms that start red, fade to light pink and then creamy yellow to create an ever changing tapestry. The horizontal flowerheads are an often-welcome contrast to the more usual rounded or spiked flower shapes. Excellent cut for you home, lasting well in a vase in fresh arrangements or dried for alternative creations. Also known as 'Soldiers Wound Wart' after Achilles reputedly used it to heal his soldier's wounds after the siege of Troy. Achillea are rabbit and slug resistant but the nectarrich blooms are much loved by bees and butterflies. Not fussy on soil conditions if it is well-drained, Achillea are happy in sun or partial shade. Being herbaceous, fully hardy perennials, they will thrive outside for you to enjoy for years to come with no winter protection required. Dying back in winter they will sprout again in spring. Your order is covered by our No Quibble Guarantee and will be confirmed along with a copy of our latest catalogue. Your mature 2 litre plants will be delivered in 7 days.
