Plant your bulbs with the points facing upwards. As a general rule, bulbs should be planted at a depth that is around 2 times the size of the bulb. Plant around 15cm (6in) apart from one another.
Water regularly throughout the growing season. In autumn, the bulbs should be lifted before the first frosts and stored indoors in a cool, dry place, as they will not survive cold temperatures. They can then be planted again in the spring. If growing in pots, the whole pot can just be moved indoors to a frost-free location. In this case, make sure the soil is slightly moist, so it doesn’t dry out completely.
It is possible to propagate Zephyranthes by seed sown with moderate hear as soon as ripe or by offsets in spring.
