Amend the planting area with plenty or organic matter and grit. Dig a hole that is the same depth and twice as wide as the root ball and place your plant into position, backfilling with soil and watering thoroughly and deeply. Space 30cm (12in) apart so they have enough room to grow.
Maintain a regular watering schedule, reducing the volume of water provided during winter. These plants will need protection from the cold so transfer to a warmer environment such as a conservatory or light and airy porch. Once flowering has finished, cut back hard immediately.
It is possible to propagate Zaluzianskya by stem tip cuttings in summer.
