Yucca are best planted in a well-drained soil of loam or sand within an acidic, neutral or alkaline PH balance. They are best positioned in an area that receives full sun as lower light levels can result in less flowers and may cause the plant to become spindly. Yucca are well-suited to being grown in containers and borders and are great for adding architectural interest to a garden.

You may wish to amend soil with compost or grit to improve drainage before planting. Water after planting to settle the soil into place.
Cut off dying and dead leaves when required, usually in spring. This will encourage new leaves to grow. Yucca are drought tolerant so do not require much water once established.
It is possible to propagate Yucca by seed sown in spring or root cuttings in winter.
