Ugni are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil of sand, clay, chalk or loam within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in a sheltered area of sun or part shade. Ugni will suit mostly any garden, as long as they are sheltered from cold, crying winds. They are happy to be grown in borders, beds and containers.
