If planting more than one plant together, give enough space in between plants, around 1-3ft depending on the variety, to allow the plants to spread.
Remove faded flowers. Cut back dying foliage in autumn. Water regularly when the plant is establishing itself but once established, Solidaster will not require much care and become fairly drought tolerant. Divide every 2-3 years. Sometimes staking is needed for tall varieties..
It is possible to propagate Solidaster by division or basal cuttings in the spring.
