Aspect: Full Sun
Sempervivum are best planted in a well-drained soil of sand or loam within an acidic, neutral or alkaline PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun and are well-suited to planting in containers or in a rock garden.

If needed, amend the soil with grit to increase drainage as good drainage is essential for Sempervivum to grow successfully. After planting, water generously.
Sempervivum are drought tolerant plants and very easy to grow. After their first water, allow them to dry out between watering and don’t overwater them. If growing in containers, they will benefit from being repotted each year.
It is possible to propagate Sempervivum by seed sown in spring, or root offsets in the spring.
