Pomegranates are best planted in a well-drained soil of sand, chalk or loam within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun and are well-suited to planting in containers where they can be moved inside if the weather is going to get particularly cold.

Plant into a container as normal, filling in around the roots with soil but not covering up the trunk. Water well after planting and lightly press the soil down.
Water regularly, increasing in the hottest summer months. Bring your container inside if the weather if there is a cold snap coming. RHS Pruning Group 1- no routine pruning is necessary, just simple remove any dead, damaged or crossing shoots in late winter or early spring. Give a mulch and feed after pruning is undertaken.
It is possible to propagate Pomegranate by seed or semi-hardwood cuttings.
