Petrorhagia are best planted in a well-drained soil of chalk, clay, loam or sand within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun. They are well suited to a cottage garden, rock garden or planted in containers.

Plant in a well-drained soil. Amend the soil if necessary, to improve drainage.
After flowering stops, plants may be cut back to encourage a second flowering. Drought tolerant once established.
