Persicaria amphibia are best planted in a moist, poorly drained soil and are best positioned in an area of full sun or partial shade. They are ideal for planting in a bog garden, in and at the edges of ponds, streams and marshes.

Plant in a bog garden or at the edge of/in a pond with a water depth of up to 80cm (32in) deep.
Divide every few years in spring. Cut back in late autumn once the leaves have died down.
It is possible to propagate Persicaria amphibia by division.
