Aspect: Sun or part shade
Hardiness: Half hardy
Soil: Moist but well-drained
Passiflora are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil of sand, clay, chalk and loam in an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in full sun or part shade with protection from adverse weather conditions and strong winds. They look particularly attractive within wall side borders and courtyard gardens within containers or cottage and informal garden settings.

It is advised you supplement the planting area with compost as this will aid in providing additional nutrients. Please take care when handling Passiflora as they are highly toxic if ingested into your system.
Pruning should be undertaken once the flowering period has finished. Apply a balanced fertiliser during early spring. Water your plants thoroughly throughout active growth, especially during periods of drought, decreasing the volume of water needed during the winter.
It is possible to propagate Passiflora by seed or layering during spring or by semi-hardwood cuttings during summer.
