Where to plant Oxalis


Oxalis are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil, preferably of loam or sand within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of partial shade. Oxalis are well suited to being planted in pots and containers.

How to plant Oxalis


Amend the planting area with compost to improve the soils drainage. Dig a shallow hole, around 3-5cm (1-2in) deep and plant your bulbs around 8cm (3in) apart from one another. Water well after planting.

Keep soil moist but be careful not to overwater your plants as this will result in the bulbs rotting. Watering should then be ceased once the foliage has died down and the plants have entered dormancy.
