The planting area may need amending with compost as these plants like their soil to be rich in organic matter. Suitable for planting in aquatic pots/baskets. If growing in pots, place in a deep saucer of water to retain moisture.
Soil should be kept consistently moist all year round and not allowed to dry out. Keep the area around the plants weed free. Mulch can also be used to retain moisture if necessary.
It is possible to propagate Nasturtium officinale by seed.
