Where to plant Nasturtium


Nasturtium are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil of loam, clay or sand within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in a sheltered area that receives full sun. Nasturtium are well suite to flower beds and borders within courtyard, coastal, cottage and informal garden settings. They also make fantastic container plants.

How to plant Nasturtium


Avoid planting in areas that have been heavily amended with organic matter as this will affect the flowering quality. Dig a hole big enough to accommodate the size of the root ball. Place the plant in the hole so that the crown is at soil level and water in well.

Water regularly throughout active growth, taking care not to overwater as this will cause the roots to rot. Deadhead spent flowers to encourage a further profusion of flowering.
