Mimulus are best planted in a moist, poorly drained, humus-rich soil of sand, clay or loam within a an acidic, neutral or alkaline PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun or partial shade. Suitable for planting at the edge of a pond.

Suitable for growing in aquatic baskets. Soil may need to be amended with compost before planting as Mimulus like their soil to be rich in organic matter.
Cut back after flowering. Soil should be kept consistently moist and not allowed to dry out.
It is possible to propagate Mimulus by seed sown in the autumn or spring or by division in the spring.
