Mazus are best planted in a moist, well-drained soil. They are best positioned in an area of sun or part shade. They are well-suited to planting in borders, containers, between steppingstones, as a marginal plant around a pond or even as a lawn replacement. Plant in a sheltered site that gives some winter protection.

Plant in a moist but well-drained soil. If you have a heavy soil, the soil may need to be amended with grit to improve drainage.
Whilst Mazus like moist soil, do not allow the roots to stand in water.
