Koeleria are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil of chalk, loam or sand within an alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun or part shade. Koeleria are well suited to flower beds or borders within a city, courtyard or informal garden.

Apply a generous layer of mulch to the base of your plant at the time of planting. Water thoroughly after planting to settle into place.
Keep a regular watering schedule, especially during periods of drought. Prune back in spring If necessary and remove all flower spikes in late summer.
It is possible to propagate Koeleria by seed sown in spring or autumn or by division in mid-spring.
