Amend the soil with additional grit or gravel to improve drainage. After planting, water thoroughly and deeply.
Water freely throughout active growth, allowing the soil to dry out between applications. This is also relevant during summer, autumn and winter. Houseplants can accumulate dust on their fleshy foliage- take care to remove dust from your plants with a damp cloth.
It is possible to propagate Kalanchoe by seed in spring or by offsets.
