You may wish to amend the planting area with compost or grit to improve the drainage. Water well after planting to settle the soil into place.
Water freely during spring and summer, reducing the volume of water required in winter. If planted in containers, give them a monthly high potassium feed (such as tomato feed) to provide additional nutrients. Summer Jasmine are best pruned after they flower during late summer or early autumn. Winter Jasmine are best pruned in spring when flowering has ceased.
It is possible to propagate Jasmine by layering or cuttings.
