  How to plant

How to plant Ixia

In the UK, planting Ixia in pots is ideal so that they can be moved to a frost-free environment over winter. You can also plant them into pots then sink these pots into the ground which can then be lifted out in autumn. The bulbs should be planted around 10cm (4in) apart and 10cm (4in) below the soil with the tips facing upwards. Water well after planting.

    How to care for

How to care for Ixia

As Ixia are tender plants, you will need to lift them in autumn and store them in a frost-free environment over the winter. Keep soil moist during the growing period being careful not to overwater, as this will result in the plants rotting.
