Prepare the planting area with sand to enhance the drainage and improve growing conditions. Dig a hole that is an adequate depth and width for the root ball and space each plant 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft) apart, watering the soil thoroughly and deeply.
Whilst Indigofera are young, they should be watered daily until they are better established and when the soil becomes dry to the touch. You may wish to prune Indigofera back the basic framework during the spring to encourage vigorous new growth.
It is possible to propagate Indigofera by seed or semi-hardwood cuttings.
