In poorer soils, amend the planting area with a generous amount of organic matter and mix in thoroughly. Dig a hole to accommodate the size of your plat, allowing adequate space between companion plants. Water thoroughly and deeply once planted to settle the soil into place.

Spread a layer of mulch around the base of your Iberis in spring to help retain moisture and control weeds as well as supplementing the soil with vital nutrients. After the flowering period, you may wish to prune the plants back by a half of their growth. Water regularly and keep the soil moist, taking care not to overwater.
