Hydrocotyle are best planted in a moist, poorly drained soil. They are best positioned in an are of full sun or partial shade. Hydrocotyle are well suited for growing at the margins of ponds.

Grow in consistently moist soil or in shallow water of around 5cm (2in) deep such as at the edge of a pond. Suitable for planting in aquatic containers. Planting in an aquatic container will help to control the plant and avoid it becoming invasive.
Hydrocotyle are easy to grow plants and do not require regular maintenance.
It is possible to propagate Hydrocotyle by seed or division.
