Gomphrena will grow in any soil type as long as it is well-drained. Soil may need to be amended with grit or compost to improve its drainage before planting.
Blooms can be pinched back to encourage more flowering and a bushier habit. Gomphrena will grow well in both heat and drought but whilst the plants are young, we advise watering them when there is a drought.
It is possible to propagate Gomphrena easily by seed.
