Allow the soil to dry out in between each water and the plant should not be left standing in water. During summer, water about once a week, giving them a good soak and allowing the water to run right through the soil. Leaves can be misted during summer too to increase humidity. Watering can then be reduced during winter. If the leaves become dusty, simply wipe them with a damp cloth every now and again.
It is possible to propagate Ficus by cuttings.
