Fabiana are best planted in a well-drained soil of sand, chalk or loam within an acidic or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in a sheltered area that receives full sun. Fabiana are well suited to flower beds and borders as well as rock gardens.

Dig a hole the same depth and twice the width of the root ball allowing plenty of space to grow effectively. Water thoroughly and deeply after planting to settle the soil into place and to encourage healthy root development.
During spring, you may wish to trim unkempt growth to help retain a healthy shape and size. Fabiana are relatively drought tolerant once established, although they will require a thorough watering regime in periods of extreme dry weather.
