Where to plant Escallonia

They are best suited to flower beds and borders within a coastal, cottage and informal garden setting.

How to plant Escallonia

Amend the planting area with a generous amount of organic matter and mix thoroughly. Dig a hole that is the same depth and twice the width of the root ball, spacing companion plants close together to form an attractive hedging feature. Water thoroughly after planting.

How to care for Escallonia

Escallonia do not require pruning but you may wish to remove old, dead or diseased foliage to retain a healthy appearance. You may also provide a light trim once the flowers have gone over to control its overall size and shape. Water thoroughly during active growth and throughout periods of drought.
