Diospyros have fragile roots, so take extra care when transplanting. Dig a hole deep and wide enough for the root ball. When planting more than two of these plants, leave a space between them of at least 15ft. Water thoroughly after planting.
RHS pruning group 1- lightly prune in late winter or early spring by removing diseased, damaged, congested or crossing shoots. You can also prune any shoots that are growing in directions you don’t want them to. Water regularly and don’t allow to dry out completely.
