Diosma are best planted in a well-drained soil of sand or loam within an acidic PH balance. They are best positioned in a sheltered area that receives full sun. They are well-suited to cottage style gardens as well as being planted in pots and containers.

Plant in a well-draining, neutral to acidic soil. If planting in containers or pots, use an ericaceous compost.
RHS pruning group 10- Prune immediately after flowering by removing shoots that have flowered to within 1.5-2.5cm of the previous year’s growth. Remove any diseased, damaged or dead shoots. Water regularly from spring until autumn then water sparingly in winter.
It is possible to propagate Diosma by seed in spring or by semi-ripe cuttings with bottom heat in summer.
