Brunfelsia are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil of chalk, clay, sand or loam within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area that receives full sun but will need shelter from extreme hot weather. Brunfelsia are well suited to being planted in containers so that they can be moved during the colder months.

Amend the planting area with plenty of compost and mix in well. It may be beneficial to mulch with moss to retain moisture and prevent weeds.
Ensure you keep the soil moist to keep the roots cool and to prevent your plants from drying out. It is possible to pinch out growing tips to ensure a healthier, bushier growth.
