A good way to grow the bulbs is to plant them in bulb pots and sunk the whole pot into the ground. Plant out once the risk of frost has passed.
Water regularly. Once well-established, they will require a reduced watering schedule until periods of dry weather. If no watered appropriately before maturity, it may affect the rate and quality at which it is likely to grow. In times of intense heat or frost, apply a layer of mulch to the root for extra protection. Pruning can be undertaken in spring, although this should only be done to improve the overall appearance of the plant.
It is possible to propagate Billardiera by seed in spring or stem cuttings in summer or autumn.
