A good way to grow the bulbs is to plant them in bulb pots and sunk the whole pot into the ground. Plant out once the risk of frost has passed.
Water moderately during growth and keep dry once the foliage dies down. Keep dormant bulbs dry over winter, bringing them inside when the flowers have finished and the foliage has died back and store in a dry dark location.
It is possible to propagate Bessera by seed sown indoors or by dividing rhizomes, tubers, corms or bulbs.
