Enrich your native soil with a generous amount of compost before planting. Plant the roots at the same depth as the root ball and water well once in position.
Once the plants have sprouted, water a few times a week or more, allowing the soil to dry slightly between watering.
It is possible to propagate Athyrium by sowing spores during mid-summer or by division in spring.
