Asplenium will require little compost and fertilisation and can be planted in compact areas.
It is recommended to protect this plant from midday sun as the leaves may scorch, so ensure there is some shelter available. Water regularly during its first season and mulch well in cold periods.
It is possible to propagate Asplenium by sowing the spores in mid to late summer. Alternatively, by division in the spring. You can take peeled leaf bases where the stem joins up with the root. You can pot and raise new plants using the green swellings of this plant.
