Arenaria are best planted in a well-drained soil of sand, chalk and loam within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun or part shade. Arenaria are well suited to embellish crevices in walls and structures within low maintenance, cottage and informal gardens.

Ensure that your soil has good drainage, particularly during the winter months. You may wish to amend the planting area with planting area with plenty of organic matter, mixing thoroughly to improve the overall drainage.
Water regularly during periods of hot, dry weather. It may also be necessary to provide a light feed if you feel this is appropriate.
It is possible to propagate Arenaria by seed, division or basal cuttings.
