Angelica are best planted in a moist but well-drained soil of loam or clay within an acidic, alkaline or neutral PH balance. They are best positioned in an area of full sun or part shade to protect it from intense heat. Angelica are well suited to being planted in beds and borders within a cottage or informal garden style.

Angelica appreciate a large planting hole to provide plentiful room for growth so take care when positioning companion plants.
Angelica can be short lived and therefore it is recommended that you remove the flower heads before seeding which will extend the life of your plant. Maintain a regular watering schedule, keeping soil moderately moist at-all-times. Apply a layer of mulch if kept in exposed areas or if left in dry conditions.
It is possible to propagate Angelica be seed sown in a cold frame.
