Aeonium are best planted in pots and containers using a cacti compost. You may wish to transplant your succulent to a larger container if they become pot bound. Position in a sunny position all year round where they will absorb plenty of light and heat. Central heating is not an issue if you provide them with sufficient water to prevent them from drying out.

You should amend the compost with additional frit or gravel to improve drainage. After planting, water thoroughly and deeply.
Water freely throughout active growth, allowing the soil to dry out between each water. Pruning is not necessary. Apply a balanced liquid fertiliser 2 or 3 times during active growth.
It is possible to propagate Aeonium by seed during spring or by cuttings of rosettes.
