Choisya is a genus within the Rutaceae family, native to southern north America, Arizona and Mexico. They are more commonly referred to as ‘Mexican orange’ or ‘Mock Orange’. The genus name is dedicated to the Genevan naturalist Choisy (1799-1859).
Choisya are evergreen shrubs that often produce pungently-scented and glossy yellow, fan-shaped leaves with an abundance of fragrant star-shaped flowers to match from late spring to late summer.
