Yucca

History and Origin:

Yucca is a genus of around 40-50 species of shrubs and trees in the Asparagaceae family, within the subfamily Agavoideae. They are native to America and the Caribbean, in hot and dry environments. Some species of Yucca are used as shampoo in Native American rituals, others have been used in cooking to name a couple of uses. Yucca can often be seen growing vigorously after a wildfire.

About:

Yucca are tender to hardy perennial shrubs and trees with evergreen, sword-shaped foliage and large panicles of white flowers. They are well suited to grow in containers or borders and are great for adding architectural interest into the garden.
