Vinca minor

History and Origin:

Vinca minor is a species in the dogbane family, native to central and southern Europe. Vinca minor are closely related to the species Vinca major but of course are a smaller plant. They are more commonly known as lesser periwinkle or dwarf periwinkle and in the United States they are known as creeping myrtle.

About:

Vinca minor are fully hardy, trailing subshrubs with small flowers that bloom during spring through to autumn. They are best suited to planting in containers and they make excellent groundcover.
