Saururus is a genus of plant within the Saururaceae family which contains just two species- Saururus cernuus and Saururus chinensis. Saururus cernuus is native to North America and Saururus chinensis is native to Asia. Commonly known as 'lizard's tail' due to the shape of the drooping flowers.
Saururus are marginal aqautic herbaceous and fully hardy perennials that produce drooping flowers in the summer. Best grown in boddy ground or pond margins.
