Prostanthera

History and Origin:

Prostanthera is a genus of plants within the Lamiaceae family, native to Australia. It is commonly known as ‘Mintbush’. The genus name is derived from the Greek word meaning ‘appendage’.

About:

Prostanthera are bushy evergreen shrubs with slender, highly aromatic leaves and gorgeous cup-shaped flowers during the late spring or early summer. Prostanthera are best suited to wall side borders or as screens or hedging within a cottage, informal or coastal garden setting. You should expect to see Prostanthera grow to an approximate height and spread of 1-1.5m (3-5’).
