Petchoa

History and Origin:

Petchoa are part Petunia and part Calibrachoa, taking the best characteristics from both species. The first Petchoa was developed by the plant breeder Danziger who created the Calitunia series consisting of just 2 varieties. Then, a second plant breeder Sakata developed the SuperCal series of Petchoa which consists of 11 varieties.

About:

Petchoa are tender perennials that have a semi-trailing and compact growth habit. The flowers of Petchoa look like Petunias and bloom in summer and autumn in bright colours and the foliage looks like that of a Calibrachoa.
