Parthenocisus is a genus of climbing plants within the Vitaceae family, native to eastern Asia and North America. The genus name derives from the Greek word ‘parthenos’, meaning ‘virgin’, and ‘kissos’, meaning ‘ivy’ and has been commonly referred to as Virginia Creeper because of this.
About: Parthenocissus are vigorous, deciduous climbers with deeply lobed or palmate leaves that display striking rich colour during autumn. Green, unobtrusive flowers are often followed by beautiful blue or black berries.
