History and Origin:

Nemophila is a genus within the Boraginaceae family, native to western America. They are often known as ‘baby blue eyes’ which is a name given to some of the individual species. The genus name is derived from the Latin word ‘nemus’, meaning ‘grove’ and the Greek word ‘philos’ meaning ‘loving’.

About:

Nemophila are spreading or erect annuals with simplistic weed-suppressing mounds of foliage and bowl-shaped flowers that often display in multi-tonal colours and patterns throughout summer.
