Lilium

History and Origin:

Lilium are a genus of flowering plants within the Liliaceae family, native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. The genus name is derived from the Greek word ‘lerion’ meaning ‘true white’.

About:

Lilium are bulbous perennial plants with tall, erect stems and clusters of bowl or trumpet-shaped blooms that often release a sweet fragrance during summer.
