Jasmine has been grown for centuries as an ornamental plant and has been particularly popular in China, Japan and Southeast Asia.

Jasmine are climbing vines and shrubs with glossy green foliage and modest, star-shaped flowers which are often followed by dark fruits. Jasmine flowers are often and commonly enjoyed in China as a tea, sometimes combined with green tea or black tea.
