Galanthus are a genus of plants within the Amaryllidaceae family, native to Europe and the Middle East. They are commonly known as ‘Snowdrops’. Galanthus have been referenced throughout history and were first described by the ancient Greek author Theophrastus in the 4th century BC.
Galanthus are dwarf bulbous perennial plants with strap-shaped leaves and sweetly scented nodding flowers that arch like pendants.
