Eriostemon

History and Origin:

Eriostemon are a genus within the Rutaceae family, native to Eastern Australia. They are commonly known as the ‘pink wax flower’. The genus was first described by English botanist James Smith in 1798. The genus name is derived from the Ancient Greek word ‘erion’ meaning ‘wool’ and ‘stemon’ meaning ‘stamen’.

Eriostemon are evergreen shrubs with aromatic emerald green foliage and glorious pale pink or white flowers that emerge during spring or summer.
