Elsholtzia

History and Origin:

Elsholtzia is a genus within the Lamiaceae (Mint) family, native to temperate regions of Asia, southern China and India. The genus name was given in honour of naturalist Johann Sigismund Elsholtz.

About:

Elsholtzia are gorgeous perennial or annual plants that releases a gorgeous minty scent. Thick velvety stems are dark in colour and are adorned by saw-toothed foliage. Flowers are borne in clustered spikes. Elsholtzia are best suited to flower beds and borders within a coastal, cottage or informal garden setting. You should expect to see your plants grow to an approximate height and spread of 1.2m (48).
